The USF Corporate Training and Professional Education team recently hosted a private documentary screening of Bob Delaney: Hiding in Plain Sight. The film, produced and directed by 22-time Emmy-winning Director and Producer Nick Nanton, chronicles Bob Delaney’s journey from Mob-busting undercover New Jersey State Trooper, to respected NBA referee, and now a leading national and international authority in Post-Traumatic Stress, resilience training, and trauma awareness.
After the film, guests were treated to a fireside chat between Bob and Colonel Amanda Robbins, Command Psychologist at USSOCOM. Together they explored real life experiences with Post-Traumatic Stress, expert insights from the field of psychologically, and perspectives on how to eliminate the stigma of seeking treat-meant.
This event highlighted the importance of mental health awareness and the need for honest conversations about work and life stressors. Bob’s story is a testament to the strength of the human spirit and the power of sharing our experiences to help others. That is a topic which he explores in his new book, Heroes Are Hu- man, focusing on the lives of front-line health care workers during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Guests gathered afterwards to meet Bob, take pictures and receive signed editions of Bob’s inspiring new book.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this event!
